When children are given their first smartphone, a world of possibilities opens up. The fact that behind all the fascination and beauty there is also a wealth of dangers and risks is often not clear to the youngsters.
For parents, this raises many questions
What is sexting? What is cybergrooming? What can be sent online? To whom are data and photos sent voluntarily and presumably "forever"? What do the police do in the event of a report? Who is in contact with my child? How can I find out? Where can I find help to help myself?
Children and young people need the support of their parents and school when entering the digital world. Passing on their knowledge and experience is the basis for developing the media skills that people urgently need to use the internet in today's world.
